CCNM's Integrative Cancer Center
We at AquaOmega want to a moment today to highlight some of the work that CCNM's integrative Cancer Center is doing. This integrative cancer care clinic supports patients with cancer with individualized, whole-person care, using naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, psychotherapy, yoga, and massage therapy. These therapies can help at each stage of the disease – from cancer prevention through all conventional treatment types into survivorship and palliative care.Â
The values and core principles of CCNM, this program, and the entire Naturopathic community are so in line with ours that we wanted to do more. In fact, we value it so much we actually wanted to get involved, so we sponsored the creation and delivery of a four-week online program.Â
This program was then made available at no cost to individuals dealing with the effects of cancer at the CCNM Integrative Center Centre. In addition to the valuable information and education received in the course, we also decided to offer all the attendees a complimentary bottle of high EPA Omega-3's.
We worked with Dr. Sukriti Bhardwaj, ND (Class of 2019), so attendees could learn different nutrition strategies during cancer treatment and use food as medicine. The sessions have been delivered three times since April 2020, with the next one slated for the summer of 2021.
